Cross-disciplinary approaches to multiply impact and contribute to a sustainable future
The FFEM's five priority themes are in line with continuity, while incorporating emerging issues, new risks and opportunities for innovation. Non-exclusive, they encourage cross-cutting approaches, promoting synergies between biodiversity, oceans, climate and pollution. This interconnected approach aims to maximise environmental and social co-benefits by supporting sustainable, inclusive and resilient development. Projects that contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change, strengthening territorial adaptation and reducing the risk of loss and damage are fully in line with this ambition, in keeping with the major international environmental conventions.
