Biodiversity and guaranteeing food security: SWM Programme website launch Project
Published on

The Sustainable Wildlife Management programme, (SWM), jointly managed by the FAO, CIRAD, CIFOR and the WCS, has just launched its website to report on the project’s progress and upcoming developments. The aim of the programme is to protect wild animals threatened by intensive commercial hunting while guaranteeing the food security of rural communities that depend on this dietary input.
The SWM operates in South America, Africa and Asia. The FFEM supports its integrated, collaborative approach to the protection and development of biodiversity, particularly through the Ressource project.
