The latest on the SWM programme and Ressource project

The SWM (Sustainable Wildlife Management) Programme has just published its 9th newsletter. The work is now entering its final phase.

This project aims to improve the condition of natural resources in the extensive Sahel wetlands, particularly the water bird populations, for the benefit of local populations in terms of food security and local development.

“Thanks to the FFEM-FAO partnership, we are demonstrating how conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources can be compatible. Bringing together global environmental protection and the socio-economic development of local populations is something critical to both our institutions.” Constance Corbier-Barthaux - Biodiversity project manager at the FFEM
