The FFEM is launching the 4th call for projects under its FISP-Climat program to support the private sector in developing climate change-related innovations initiated for the benefit of developing countries.

In this new call for projects, the FFEM aims to continue its support for innovative initiatives that combine the socio-economic development of local populations with a shift towards a lower-carbon and more climate-resilient development path.

This support follows on from COP21, which led to the adoption of the Paris Agreement — the first universal climate agreement that aims to transform global growth and development through sustainable, long-term low-carbon solutions. In 2016, the FFEM is seeking to increase the share of projects focused on climate change adaptation compared to previous years.
