Evaluation Summary Development of sustainable production and consumption models for goods and services in the protected areas project
Published on

The National System of Protected Areas of Uruguay (SNAP) plays a key role in protecting the country’s environment. To strengthen this dynamic, FFEM is supporting an innovative project aimed at promoting sustainable production and consumption practices within protected areas and their surrounding territories. Led by the Uruguayan Ministry of Housing, Territorial Planning, and the Environment, with support from the GEF and UNDP, the project combines the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, the improvement of local communities' living conditions, and responsible economic development. By promoting sustainable practices, it contributes to better governance and the enhancement of local resources.
