This guide is intended as a practical tool for forest concession holders in Central Africa.
The mechanism for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation—also including conservation, sustainable forest management, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks, known as REDD+—is an international, voluntary mechanism that offers financial compensation to developing countries for their efforts to combat deforestation and forest degradation.
